Tennessee Songwriters Week
On January 26, 2025, I won 1st place in the first qualifying round of the Tennessee Songwriters Week competition held at Sutton General Store in Granville. Congratulations to Raniece Canady who came in 2nd place. A special thank you to Karen and Gary Goodlow for telling me about the contest, Historic Granville, Tennessee and Sutton General Store Granville Tn for hosting Songwriters Week at their cozy neighborhood shop, and to all the judges who voted that day.
On March 1st, I performed my song, “I Shoulda Told You” – inspired by Rich, again in the second round of the Tennessee Songwriters Week. This time it was at The Franklin Theater. It was a night of pure joy! I’m so grateful I had this opportunity to share my heart, voice and song. I also met so many other great songwriters who performed in the competition as well that night. While I didn’t win this second round, I honestly feel like we were ALL winners that night, just for being a part of the whole experience!
