Thank you for joining me on 5/18 for my Birthday Bash at The Bowery Vault. Just thinking about the night makes me smile. The room was sold out and filled with friends, colleagues and fans who resonated nothing but good energy. I’m grateful for James Paul Mitchell who opened the show so perfectly and played bass on my set, as well as the amazing Justin Amaral on drums. I love playing with them both. A true joy!
Last month, I shared how I had finally gotten around to editing the footage from that night and shared the video for “I Believe,” which I was inspired to write from a long journey of confusion and suffering in my life which lead to enlightenment and a deeper faith in something greater than myself.
This month, I’m sharing my tune, “Lone Pine.” I wrote it right after taking a much needed trip away from LA – back in the day when I lived there. I saw a rainbow and some cows in a field outside from where I was staying that weekend with a friend and her family and the next thing you know, “Lone Pine” was born.”
