Following through, doing what you love, and taking whatever action possible so you can make a living out of your passion, is challenging. Pretty much, every day I wake up and there is a little voice telling me to stop pursuing a career as a singer, songwriter and performer. It says things like, “You’re too old. You’re not that good. You’ll never become a full-time musician.”

I could listen to that voice and just move on with my life and pursue a 9 to 5 job. NOT! Giving up is not an option for me. I have no back up plan and I believe that everything unfolds in due time, IF I keep moving past the daily resistance and follow through with my purpose. And that purpose started out with a dream a long time ago. So, here’s how I see it…

A dream takes quite some time to unfold itself into a vision. A vision will eventually turn into your purpose. Your purpose will guide you forward through the rest of your life; just be patient. The possibilities become endless; days move between dark and light, people come in and out of your life, doubts try to sway you, and passion, drive and wisdom will get you back on track; right back to your purpose, for you to stay clear on your vision, which you dreamed up in your room, a very long time ago, when you knew you were invincible, and that ANYTHING was possible.

So today, allow yourself to dream BIG. Be kind yourself. Shut that voice in your head up and start moving forward, into your passion and purpose. Once you begin the ball rolling, it will create it’s own momentum…
