I want to start by saying that we are all on this journey we call life, together, as individuals. I believe that the way to make a difference in the world, day to day, is to be courageous and lay yourself all on the line, with no apology, so others feel safe to do the same.

For the first part of my life, I hid behind my art, my songs, my career as a songwriter. I was lacking the courage to shine 100% through as just myself, yet the wisdom inside me was always present. One day courage knocked on my door and I decided to embrace her. I chose to make a shift in my ways and see what happens when I step outside of insanity; “Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.”

That day a new journey began. It’s been almost 7 years living in that new life, where I follow a Higher Power and just accept that little sneaky serpent inside of me that holds space in my body, whether I like it or not. It’s just the way it is. But what makes all the difference is this one thing… I don’t need to react to that negative, “Debby Downer”. I get to observe that manipulative energy, and with intention, walk forward and say, “Ok Universe, what cha got for me today? I’m willing and I’m ready!”

The reason I share all this with you is so you get the impact of what’s to come below. This video of  my song “Gold” was captured on May 3rd at The Duplex (NYC) during my pre-album release party for “Rediscovering Me” and I’m so happy it was. It truly captures all that I just spoke of above and also shines light on what happens when you let go of all inhibition and just be!
