Blog #70: A Fond Farewell to Pinocchio

On October 13th, 2011 I announced the debut of my blog, “365 Blogs To Finding Pinocchio A Home”. I was to track the musical journey around ways I could make money full-time as a singer/songwriter, musician and performer. My focus; taking consistent actions towards getting my music on TV and film rather than being so concerned with the end results.

Why did I call it “365 Blogs To Finding Pinocchio A Home”? My latest single at the time “I Wanna Be Pinocchio” truly touched a spark inside me. It was time to fully commit to what made me happy and let go of being attached to any person, place or thing in the process. Like Pinocchio, I was determined to be vulnerable, truthful and willing to let people in who could help me along my journey of finding out ways to let go of the ropes and stand on my own, humbly. It was very clear, Pinocchio and I were on a similar paths, ironically. So, why not blog about the whole process. Pinocchio would be my muse. Over the past few years, I have written a total of 70 blogs. It has been an incredible learning experience.

On October 2, 2014 something wonderful happened. Two of my songs, “Running Out Of Time” and “Getting Out Of My Own Way” were featured in Nicole Gomez Fisher’s hit HBO Comedy, “Sleeping With The Fishes”. The film stars Golden Globe Nominee  Gina Rodriguez (The CW’s “Jane the Virgin”.) I have accomplished a large amount over the span of the past 5 months and today, I am willing to complete a journey so another can begin. I am ready to wish Pinocchio a fond farewell. Yes, the end of “365 Blogs To Finding Pinocchio A Home” has come. I climbed to the top of one incredibly tall hill over the span of 4 years. I found the woman I always dreamed of being.  It’s time to move forward from this point and see what else lies ahead. Follow me on this new platform, won’t you? 2015 is gonna be a year to remember in more ways than one.
