Two Years in Nashville…
Two years ago, November 1st, I arrived in Nashville. I knew not a soul and was starting my life over again, for the 3rd time. You know, life never guarantees anything. It’s just this journey that I choose to take, every single day. And through all the ups and downs; through all the unexpected curve balls, both magical and tragic, I continue to handle each one in self care.
I’ve found that some things in life make sense, and others, they just never ever will. But, the most crucial factor in it all, for me, is that I don’t lose hope, even when hope feels void, and my purpose seems blurred from tragedy.
I have learned that I must stay connected to a strong supportive community, here in Nashville, NY, LA, and all around the world, where I have created a handful of solid, supportive individuals that keep me grounded, especially during times where there is no real ground underneath me.
Life never guarantees anything. This is so true. But it’s up to me to just keep finding new ways to continue to live a life worth living. And so, I continue on a journey that I’m really not quite sure where it will take me. But I’m willing to keep open, and listen to the truth inside me, and keep doing my best to be the change I want to see in others. One day at a time.

In Memory of Richard Hartmann
Rest in Peace Now Rich…
Rich and I shared the purest love that I’ve ever experienced up to this day. He taught me how to love fully, how to be in a real relationship and he loved me fully, 100%… flaws and all. His heart was bigger than one could ever try to imagine. He was loyal and had a small circle of friends that meant the world to him. And his family was his everything.
As my heart continues to remain heavy, from Rich’s tragic passing a few weeks ago, I know I was one lucky woman. My life changed the minute Richie came into my life over 25 years ago outside the dorm of Nassau Hall at CW Post, and my life will now never be the same this day forward… But the love we shared… the friendship we molded… and the memories we created… they will last in me forever.
