Thank You… Taylor Guitars!
Sometimes when you least expect it, something great happens! Well, on April 22nd, “Earth Day”, I got some pretty awesome news from my past photographer, Chris Militzer, saying that he had just reposted the picture we’d taken for my album “Rediscovering Me” – which I ended up using for the back cover of the album – to his Instagram feed and that after he did, Taylor Guitars asked him if they could use the photo for an Instagram post of theirs; giving him photo credit.
I was so humbled and excited, especially since I have so been a Taylor Guitars lover and supporter since 2002 when I bought my very first Taylor Guitar (414ce). I even named a past EP “Just Me & My Taylor” because that’s how close I feel to my Taylor. It’s true!
Anyway, if that wasn’t enough of a treat; to then to find out they chose to use our shot for their “Earth Day” post – it knocked the pick right out of my hands, so to speak. I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity. Thank you Taylor Guitars. You made my year way ahead of time!
Sweden Tour Memories!
I will never forget how welcoming the community was when I got to go to Sweden back in 2015 for a month to do an acoustic tour. With all that’s occurred this past year in our world, the one thing it has done for me, in particular, is make me so very grateful for all the adventures I have been able to go on, all over the world.
Anyway, I bumped into this footage from one of the gigs I did there. It’s raw but it brought up so many wonderful memories of that day in particular. You never know where life is gonna take you so just keep doing what you do and let the doors open and close accordingly because life IS all about the journey!
The Video For “Getting Out Of My Own Way”
I am so grateful that inspiration struck me years ago to write “Getting Out of My Own Way”. And I’m even more grateful I had the balls to move forward on a vision I had around the song back then, to have it as a reminder note for me and to share with others that we have the power to get out of our own way and move into a better today!
And I had such a kick-ass crew, video editor, hair & make-up team, stunt double – Heather Adams – and a family rooting me on, to have it all come together and create this wonderful project.
I hope it moves you… all over again!
Until Next Time…
Share your smile with someone this week. Remember, you never know how much they just might need it! xx
