Jenny V’s Update: New music video is up for “Gold”, Performing at The Franklin Theater & My final night hosting open mic at The Bowery Vault…

July 29th - New Single Out

Final Video Up From My Birthday Bash: “Gold”

Well, that’s a wrap! The final music video I’m sharing from my full band show at The Bowery Vault is Gold. It’s about finally accepting that it’s time to do something new rather than expecting a different result from doing the same thing over and over again. It’s also about listening to that gentle voice in your head rather than the one who’s loud and judgmental.

If you missed the last songs I posted the past months, here they are: Getting Out Of My Own Way, Worst Enemy, Once In A Blue Moon, Monster, I Believe , Dirty Work, Lone Pine, The Radio In You, Hello Little Girl, I Shoulda Told You and “After All…This is Your Life.” You can watch them below or by clicking each link above.

Performing my song, “I Shoulda Told You,” Live Franklin Theater

I got to perform my song, “I Shoulda Told You” at The Franklin Theater. Here’s a short video and the live performance of it. Enjoy!

My final night hosting open mic at The Bowery Vault…

All things must come to an end at some point, to unfold the next beautiful journey ahead…

I’ve been contemplating around my final night hosting Open Mic Night at The Bowery Vault on September 11th. I’ve hosted it every second Thursday of the month for the last three years. It’s been such a great run! It’s just time to step down and focus on two other projects in the works around music and my decluttering, organizing & mindset coaching business – JVTheCoach.com (more to be revealed around both in 2026).

With that said, it couldn’t have been a better end to my hosting experience. So many of our Nashville songwriting community came down to celebrate with me and share their beautiful hearts and songs with us. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. There were also a few new folks that dropped in. I’m glad they got to see the magic of The Bowery Vault.

So, I always ask a question for people to answer before they sing their song, to get to know more about them. I had two for this final night:

  1. What is the best part of writing a song for you?
  2. What is one action you need to do this week but are procrastinating out of fear?

Some share answers to one and others decided to answer both! I just loved hearing all the responses!

As always, I started the night singing a few songs of mine. And as a fairwell to this hosting journey, I ended the night with LH Halliburton joining me on stage – singing back up on one of his beautifully written songs, “Happiness is the Road.”

I want to thank all of you who have joined me over these past few years. You have made this open mic The Best in town! I’m truly blessed to have experienced the growth of this community. I have come out with a handful of forever friendships.

A very special thank you to our lovely bar-tress, owner and a very dear friend of mine, Vero, for all she’s done to bring forth a place where like minded spirits can frequent.

In my opinion, The Bowery Vault is the best venue in East Nashville for gathering community and having fellow songwriters be such a positive support for each other.
