Jennifer Vazquez Update: The Story Behind “You Made Me See” + New Music Videos Up!

July 29th - New Single Out

I hope you’re all having a prosperous 2023 and that you took time to celebrate YOU on Valentine’s Day! Always remember that it takes LOVING YOURSELF FIRST to TRULY LOVE ANOTHER FULLY.

Today, I wanted to share the NEW live music video of my single “You Made Me See”, the story behind this song I wrote and a few more NEW live music videos I recently posted from my single release party for “You Made Me See.”

Life is filled with many challenges and life tragedies and I’m here to remind you that it’s more than ok to fall down and let yourself grieve your loss in each of those moments. Healing comes from accepting that you are human. We need to fall to be able to move through our grief – and then learn how to manage it – over time. Once we do that, we can start to find HOPE and PURPOSE in our life once more. The past journey will be resculpted into a new one we then choose to create.

No matter what you are going through, if you respect grief and your journey around it, there is a lift you will feel over time. No, you will never fully heal and there will always be a hole in your heart, but you can start to see that hole as a placeholder for the love you have for the person you’re grieving and lost. They are ALWAYS with you. It’s up to you to be willing to do the tough work around your loss – so you can FEEL their DAILY presence in your life once more. Then, you can walk hand and hand with them – letting them help guide you along the bumpy roads ahead. I say this ALL from my own experience with my own deep loss. So, please honor and respect your grief journey. It will take you where you’re supposed to go next… IN TIME.

💔 THE STORY BEHIND THE MUSIC

“You Made Me See” was inspired by the sudden loss of my best friend and soulmate of 25 years. It came out of me after almost two years of processing my grief. Even though the song has come from a tragic experience, the tune is uplifting and empowering. It shows how much a person can touch your life – even when they are physically gone. Phil Solem (The Rembrandts) produced “You Made Me See” in his Nashville Studio. I am grateful to be able to share this live version with all of you.
