🎉 10 years in Nashville! 🎉 On October 24, 2016, I 🎉 10 years in Nashville! 🎉
On October 24, 2016, I got in a U-Haul and headed to Nashville to start my life again for the third time. I’d lived in LA for seven years (2002–2009), honing my craft as a songwriter, starting out by busking on Third Street Promenade. I experienced so many successes and challenges during that time. In 2009, I moved back to NY to regroup and begin unfolding the next chapter of my life. From 2009 to 2016, I did some serious work on myself to uncover what was keeping me from living a life I truly loved. Learning to stop self-sabotaging was a constant challenge—until it wasn’t. Habits are hard to break, but my willingness to do the work helped me open up to the next stage of my life. Then, in 2016, I decided Nashville was my next move. Now, 10 years later, I’ve broken that seven-year itch and successfully made Nashville my home. I’ve built a successful business as JV The Coach, created a duo called Girl from Mars, and continued writing and making music because I genuinely enjoy it—not because I need others to determine my worth through it. I’ve grown into a woman I honestly never imagined I could become. And after all the ups and downs, all the lessons learned, and all the hard work I’ve put into creating a life I love, something else happened: love entered my life unexpectedly just six months ago. ❤️ I look forward to seeing where this journey as a Nashvillian takes me. One thing is for sure: I have no expectations and all the hope in the world. Life is a beautiful thing when you stop worrying about what isn’t and start seeing the beauty in what is! ✨ #10yearanniversary #movetonashville #thejourney #upsanddowns
