The thing about being a songwriter is you never know when inspiration’s gonna call. I’ve learned to simply leave the door open, 24 hours a day, for it. And when that voice enters the room, it’s on! I simply listen to what it has to say. It’s a gift, that voice, so I respect it every single time it graces my presence, especially when it’s at that odd hour of the morning, like 3am! That’s when the titles shout out to me or the lyrics float from my brain onto the paper.

And today I am quite excited to share a BRAND NEW SONG with you! It’s called “Gold”. Inspiration walked in on this one about halfway through my songwriting process. I was struggling with what I wanted to say. After a few hours it came to me! And after about two months it was complete!

What do you think? Should we put this one on the next album? I’m thinking yes…
